The Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority (AVA) has ordered the recall of confectionery products manufactured by The Royals (Premium Cakes) at Bedok from its six retail outlets The Royals Premium Cakes & Pies, due to a chemical contamination — suspected to be from a bleaching agent — during production at the factory yesterday. The factory's operations have been suspended.
Consumers who feel unwell after consuming the affected products should consult a doctor. The police and the AVA are investigating the matter. ONG DAI LIN
